Court of Appeals Announces Public Access Site for Certain Civil Cases
The District of Columbia Court of Appeals has announced that public access to certain cases is now available on the court’s website. Currently, access is limited to civil briefs and orders filed or entered after August 1, 2021. The ultimate goal is to provide more web-based access to additional case types in the future.

JNC Recommends Six Candidates for Superior Court Vacancies
The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden six candidates for judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judges William W. Nooter and John M. Campbell. The president has 60 days to select a nominee for each vacancy.

I was seven years old when I saw A Matter of Life and Death (1946) on television. It was 1972 and, as I have explained to my 10-year-old son many times, you only had one shot back then to watch a movie on television. I stayed up well past midnight to see it.
