CLE Obligations for D.C. Bar Members
The District of Columbia Bar does not have mandatory or minimum continuing legal education requirements, although its members are encouraged to engage in such continuing legal education as is necessary to maintain their competence to practice law.
Credit in MCLE States
All D.C. Bar CLE courses satisfy MCLE credit requirements in every state that has minimum continuing legal education requirements. The process for obtaining credits varies by state.
Seeking Course Accreditation
The D.C. Bar does not provide CLE accreditation for organizations’ courses or events. Since the D.C. Bar does not have mandatory CLE requirements at this time, there is no CLE accreditation body.
