Ana Zaragoza Scoular

Ana Zaragoza Scoular is the Family Law Staff Attorney with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In this role, she represents parents and caregivers through the Family Law Assistance Network, mentors pro bono attorneys through our Advocacy & Justice Clinic, and develops and leads family law trainings.

Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Ana worked as a staff attorney at Children’s Law Center, serving as a guardian ad litem in custody cases and representing clients in Housing Conditions Court and education matters in the District of Columbia. Ana was a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Robert A. Salerno in the Domestic Relations Branch of D.C. Superior Court.

During law school, Ana was a student attorney at Disability Rights Law Clinic, a law clerk at Children’s Law Center, an extern at Legal Aid DC , and an intern at AARP’s Legal Counsel for the Elderly. Prior to law school, she taught in a bilingual school through Teach for America in D.C. Public Schools and served as the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center’s Bilingual Intake Coordinator.

Ana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Relations from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.

 Ana is fluent in English and Spanish.
