Reminder: D.C.’s New Minimum Wage is in Effect Now!
In January, the D.C. Council passed the Minimum Wage Amendment Act of 2013. Under the law, the minimum wage will increase by $1 on July 1 each year through 2016, hitting $11.50 per hour by 2017. Accordingly, the minimum wage effective July 1, 2014 is $9.50 per hour.
