Superior Court Seeks Comment on Proposed Changes to Probate Rules

The Superior Court of the District of Columbia recently completed its review of proposed amendments to the Superior Court Rules of the Probate Division. The rules have been completely reorganized and renumbered, so the court has not provided a marked-up version of the proposed rules.

The Rules Committee will recommend that the Superior Court Board of Judges approve the amendments unless, after consideration of comments by the bar and general public, the proposed changes are withdrawn or modified.

D.C. Courts Release 2024 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll

Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the D.C. Court of Appeals and Chief Judge Milton C. Lee, Jr., of the D.C. Superior Court have released the 14th annual Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll, recognizing the contributions of those D.C. Bar members and other lawyers authorized to perform pro bono legal work in the District of Columbia who completed 50 hours or more of pro bono service during the prior calendar year.
