Comment on Fitness of 11 Applicants for Superior Court Vacancies

On January 8 the District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission announced that there are 11 applicants for the judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judges Anthony C. Epstein and Alfred S. Irving Jr. The commission will submit the names of three applicants to the president of the United States for his consideration to nominate and appoint a judge for each vacancy.

The commission invites comments by 5 p.m. on February 21 regarding the fitness of these applicants for a judicial position on D.C. Superior Court.
