Apply for the Superior Court’s Family Court Panels

The Superior Court of the District of Columbia seeks qualified attorneys to apply for the Family Court Panels, which were reestablished on July 3 by Administrative Order 23-12. Applicants must provide proof of good standing with the D.C. Bar and have an office in the D.C. metropolitan area. Applications will be accepted through August 29 at 5 p.m. The committee will submit its recommendations to the chief judge by November 1, and the panels will commence on January 2, 2024.

JNC Recommends Six Candidates for Superior Court Vacancies

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden six candidates for judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judge Jennifer M. Anderson and the resignation of Judge Rupa Ranga. The president has 60 days to select a nominee for each vacancy.
