Apply for Superior Court’s Free Civil Basic Mediation Training

October 03, 2023

The Civil ADR Branch of the D.C. Superior Court’s Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division is accepting applications from those interested in being trained to mediate in its Civil Actions and Small Claims programs. The deadline to apply is October 13, 2023.

The training is free of charge, and, in exchange, applicants must make a commitment to attend all training sessions, co-mediate three cases with a mentor, and mediate for a minimum of one year following completion of training and mentorship.

The training takes place over six days, from February 5–9, 2024, with one additional date based on program assignment: February 22 for Small Claims, or February 23, for Civil Actions.
