Myles Lynk Joins ODC as Senior Assistant Disciplinary Counsel

LynkThe Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has named Myles Lynk as senior assistant disciplinary counsel in charge of ODC’s appellate group, replacing Jennifer Lyman, who is retiring. Lynk will begin his new position in August.

“Myles Lynk has extraordinary credentials and experience in professional responsibility. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to supervise our appellate practice. Myles is also an old friend and a terrific person,” said Disciplinary Counsel Hamilton P. Fox III. “I anticipate that he will be a mentor for our younger lawyers.”

A professor at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Lynk specializes in legal ethics and professional responsibility as well as civil procedure and corporate governance. Lynk served as pro bono consultant on legal ethics in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia from 2016 to 2018. In his long history with the D.C. Bar, Lynk has been president (1996–1997), a member of the Board of Governors (1993–1998), chair of the Clients’ Security Fund (1989–1992), and a member of the Legal Ethics Committee (1987–1990).

Lynk has also been active with the American Bar Association, where he has served on the Board of Governors since 2017 and has chaired the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Standing Committee on Professional Discipline (now Professional Regulation).
