D.C. Superior Court’s New E-Filing System Goes Live October 31

October 13, 2022

The D.C. Superior Court is transitioning from the CaseFileXpress e-filing portal to eFileDC, which goes live October 31. Initially, this change will impact the following case types: Civil Division, including the Landlord & Tenant and Small Claims Branches; Tax Division (civil tax); Probate Division; and Officer of the Auditor Master.

Starting at midnight on October 23, CaseFileXpress will no longer be available. Any cases filed on paper from October 24 to 28 will be entered into the Odyssey Portal — the court’s new case management system — on October 31.

Registration for eFileDC is available now. If you need help registering, consult the individual or firm administrator user guidelines.

Effective October 31, the court is also moving from eAccess to Odyssey Portal for case searches. Initially, the change applies to cases in the Civil Division, including the Landlord & Tenant and Small Claims Branches; Tax Division (civil tax); Probate Division; and Officer of the Auditor Master. For all other case types, continue to use eAccess until further notice.

Email [email protected] with questions or visit the court’s website for additional information.
