Summary: In re Workneh Churnet. Bar No. 974538. August 21, 2025. The D.C. Court of Appeals accepted Churnet’s petition for negotiated discipline and suspended him for 90 days, with all but 30 days stayed in favor of one year of supervised probation with conditions, for violations of Rules 1.15(a) and 1.15(b). Churnet voluntarily acknowledged that he commingled and failed to maintain complete records of entrusted funds and failed to deposit entrusted funds into an IOLTA.
