Summary: D.C. probate rules require court supervision of estates and a probate attorney’s fees where a decedent died before July 1, 1995. Respondent did not follow the correct rules and treated a supervised probate matter as unsupervised and therefore failed to file required filings for more than three years and accepted a fee without the required court authorization.
