JNC Recommends Three Candidates for Superior Court Vacancy

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to President Biden three candidates for a judicial vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judge Anita Josey-Herring. The president has 60 days to select a nominee to fill this vacancy.

The candidates are D.C. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Eric S. Glover; Kathleen Konopka, legal director for the Global Health Advocacy Incubator; and Micah Salb, principal attorney at Lippman, Semsker & Salb, LLC. Learn more about the candidates here.

The D.C. Judicial Nomination Commission (JNC) invites qualified individuals to apply for vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia resulting from the retirement of Judge Craig Iscoe, effective January 13, 2026, and Judge Kimberley S. Knowles, effective January 24, 2026.
