Generate Dynamic Content Periodically

Since the need to serve dynamic content is often incremental, periodically generating static content is often the best solution for serving specified time periods. For example, an e-commerce site experiencing heavy traffic loads and serving advertising banners may need to serve ad #1 from 12 noon to 1 PM and ad #2 from 1 PM to 3:30 PM, and so on. There is no need to run code for each request during the 12 noon to 1 PM, when ad #2 rotates in. Instead, force the page to static and set a schedule for generating different static versions of the page.
