Advanced Static Settings

Access the Advanced Static Settings dialog by expanding the Static Content Generation section of the Site Administration dashboard.  Use these options to capture and review errors resulting from incorrect redirects from the static server to the dynamic server or vice-versa. You can also track when a page changes from dynamic to static or static to dynamic.  Review reports in /commonspot/logs/For more information see “Site and CommonSpot Log Files” in the CommonSpot Administrators Reference.

Select one or more of the following options:

Log links to dynamic pages with the static URL - You can opt to log inappropriate requests to the static server for dynamic content (for example, redirects that occur from the static sub-domain to a dynamic page). This will allow you to see any incorrectly generated links. As mentioned above, you should rarely see any redirects, as CommonSpot should appropriately fix up all of the URLs to point to the proper server. CommonSpot writes entries to a log named ‘year-month-day-Sitename-debug_redirect.log’ (for example, 20090506.Issues.debug_redirect.log) in the /commonspot/logs directory.

Log links to static pages with the dynamic URL - You can also log inappropriate requests to the dynamic server for static content. CommonSpot also writes these entries to  a log named ‘year-month-day-Sitename-debug_redirect.log’ (for example, 20090506.Issues.debug_redirect.log) in the /commonspot/logs directory.
