Vaccination Policy/On-Site Protocols

I am not vaccinated against COVID-19. Am I still allowed to enter the Bar’s building if I am able to show proof of a negative test result?

Unvaccinated visitors are not permitted to enter the D.C. Bar’s building at this time, irrespective of testing status.

Are booster shots required to be considered “fully vaccinated”?

Booster shots are not required at this time pending additional guidance from the CDC.

What are the on-site face mask and social distancing requirements for D.C. Bar Visitors?

While on-site, Visitors are required to wear face masks at all times except when eating or drinking. Social distancing is encouraged at all times.

I understand that there is a face mask requirement while I am in the D.C. Bar building. Are there any exceptions when it would be permissible for me to remove my mask?

The District of Columbia Mayor’s order issued July 29, 2021 requires that all D.C. businesses open to the public require the wearing of masks indoors, except as follows.

A mask is NOT required during the following activities/situations when a person is:

  • actively eating or drinking
  • alone in an enclosed office that no one else is permitted to enter
  • giving a speech for broadcast or an audience, provided no one is within six feet of the speaker
  • speaking to or translating for a deaf or hard of hearing person
  • required to use equipment for a job that precludes the wearing of a mask and the person is wearing or using that equipment, or when wearing a mask would endanger public safety
  • lawfully asked to remove their mask for facial recognition purposes

ReturnSafe

Am I required to enter my proof of vaccination into ReturnSafe to be able to enter the building?

In order to ensure the highest health and safety standards are maintained, the Bar requires standard vaccination tracking and health screening protocols to be followed consistently, including uploading proof of vaccination (one time), and completing the health screening questionnaire (each visit) in ReturnSafe. Please note that all uploaded data is confidential and accessible only to designated administrators.

When do I need to have my proof of vaccination loaded into ReturnSafe?

All Visitors are required to install the ReturnSafe app and load proof of vaccination no later than 72 hours in advance of requested entry to the Bar’s building.

Yes. You can access ReturnSafe from a mobile device, desktop or laptop at https://desktop.returnsafe.com.
