Vacancy Notice: Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services

The Judicial Conference of the District of Columbia Circuit will be filling at least one vacancy on its Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services for a three-year term that starts on July 1, 2017. 

The Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services is responsible for reviewing and reporting to the Judicial Conference of the District of Columbia Circuit on problems facing pro se litigants in the federal courts and the pro bono resources available to them. In addition, the committee manages the nominations process for the Daniel M. Gribbon Pro Bono Advocacy Award, and coordinates the annual “40 at 50: Judicial Pro Bono Recognition Breakfast.” 

The committee is comprised of 10 members who serve three-year terms. After serving one term, members are eligible for reappointment to an additional three-year term.

Members of the bar interested in being considered for an appointment to the Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services should submit a resume by May 22, 2017, to Elizabeth H. Paret, Circuit Executive.
