D.C. Court of Appeals Seeks Applicants for Vacancy on Committee on Admissions

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals is seeking applications for a vacancy on the Committee on Admissions. The Committee on Admissions is charged with determining the good moral character and general fitness to practice law of applicants to the District of Columbia Bar.

Committee Members contribute to character and fitness decisions, participate in formal hearings, and grade bar examinations. Committee Members are appointed to a three-year term, which can be renewed. An applicant for the vacancy must be an actively practicing member of the D.C. Bar, and must have been admitted to the Bar for at least five years. In addition, an applicant should have strong academic and professional experience, and possess effective writing and verbal skills. A small stipend is available.
