April 10, 2017

D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Nonprofit Business Law Training

On April 3 the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, in partnership with Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, hosted the first of an eight-part Business Law Course for nonprofits. Over 40 nonprofit executives attended the first part of the training, which focused on the topic of intellectual property. This course is taught by expert lawyers, accountants, and other professionals with nonprofit experience.

The presentation was led by the firm’s own Roberta Horton, an industry-leading attorney who specializes in intellectual property issues. This training is designed for nonprofit executives with significant management responsibilities and other staff that seek to develop their management capabilities. Covering many of the primary challenges nonprofits face, this training is designed to support nonprofits by providing them the tools to maintain thriving organizations.
