On Tuesday, March 28, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, in partnership with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, hosted a nonprofit training entitled “Navigating Government Grants & Contracts for your Nonprofit” for over 40 nonprofit executives. The training centered on helping nonprofits comply with the multitude of sometimes-difficult requirements associated with government grants and contracts.

With presentations from some of the firm’s industry leading attorneys like Lawrence Prosen and Chris Henel, as well as support from industry practitioners like Tamara Jack of Blumont and Chris Wade of CaaSus LLC, the training covered the basics of administering contracts and grants, accounting for contractors and award recipients, compliance specifics, terminations, disputes, and contract/award closeout.
