Two D.C. Superior Court Judicial Nominees Announced

On September 6 President Trump announced his intent to nominate Rahkel Bouchet and Mark Allen Robbins to serve as associate judges on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.  

Bouchet currently serves as magistrate judge on the Superior Court handling civil, family law, and juvenile cases. Prior to her appointment to the bench in 2016, Bouchet served as principal of the Bouchet Law Firm, focused on family law, child abuse, and neglect matters. She was a supervising attorney for the Child Welfare/Family Justice Clinic at Howard University School of Law. Bouchet received her undergraduate degree and JD from Howard University.  

Robbins is general counsel for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Previously, he was a member, vice chair, and acting chair of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. Robbins has also served as general counsel for the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, as senior rule of law advisor in Iraq for the U.S. Department of State, and as executive director of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. He received his BA and JD from The George Washington University.
