Bar License Renewal Process Goes Online

In line with its efforts to become more environmentally friendly, the D.C. Bar will no longer mail paper invoices for the collection of license fees for fiscal year 2020–2021. Bar members will receive all annual license fee notices by email only.

The license renewal period begins May 1 and ends July 1, 2020.

For a smooth transition to online payment and to avoid incurring late fees, please make sure your contact information is up to date. The D.C. Bar will use your primary email address on file for all official correspondence.

You can verify and/or update your information in the following ways:

Bar members who wish to mail check payments will get printable invoices online through their member account. Credit card payments will no longer be accepted by mail.
