Attorney/Client Arbitration Board Seeking Volunteer Arbitrators

October 24, 2018

The D.C. Bar’s Attorney/Client Arbitration Board (ACAB) is seeking lawyer and nonlawyer volunteer arbitrators for its fee arbitration service, which provides a relatively informal, efficient, and confidential forum for D.C. Bar members and their clients to resolve disputes about legal fees. Applications are due by December 3.

Candidates will be screened and appointed by the ACAB Committee, and appointed arbitrators must attend a training session before serving on cases.

Individuals who wish to be considered should submit their application and résumé either by email to Kathleen E. Lewis; by fax at 1-866-55-9330; or by mail to D.C. Bar ACAB, 901 4th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20001.
