Pro Bono Program

Pro Bono Program: What We Do

The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program strives to mobilize lawyers to assist in making legal information, advice, and representation fully available to low–income persons in the District of Columbia. The Pro Bono Program also recruits and trains lawyers and law firms to provide business and transactional legal services to community–based nonprofit organizations and small, disadvantaged businesses through our Community Economic Development (CED) Project.

The Pro Bono Program serves more than 20,000 individuals each year with our clinics, resource centers at D.C. Superior Court, and other programs. Program activities include:

  • Advocacy & Justice Clinic

The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program is supported entirely by voluntary contributions from D.C. Bar members, law firms, and foundations. No D.C. Bar member dues support the Pro Bono Program. Please make a tax-deductible contribution today to support the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program. Thank you!
