Types of services:
Quality Trust attorneys provide legal representation, advice, counseling, and referral to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families on issues involving capacity, consent, alternatives to guardianship, and the right to self-determination; issues involving community integration; living life free from abuse and neglect; and issues involving services from the Developmental Disabilities Administration and Rehabilitative Services Administration. We work on systemic issues involving capacity, decision making, and alternatives to guardianship; financial accountability for people with disabilities; and ensuring that services are provided in the least restrictive setting possible.
Volunteer needs:
Volunteer attorneys, paralegals, and law students who are interested in individual representation, public policy, legal research, and systemic reform for people with disabilities.
