Date & Time: Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm

CLE Credit: Yes

Event Description
Credit: 2.0 Credit Hours

This award-winning class provides the practicing attorney with a guide to making and responding to objections. The class covers:

· Making and responding to typical objections, including objections to the form of the questions, objections to documents, hearsay objections, objections to expert witnesses, objections to attempts to impeach, and objections for inadequate foundations

· How and when to make objections, including objections to opening statements and closing arguments

· Making pretrial objections-motions in limine.

As part of the course materials, attendees  receive practice aids including a list of common objections and a reference list with relevant federal rules and local practice, citations to leading cases, and brief explanations.  Faculty use a game show quiz format and a polling responder system to help attendees learn and practice making objections and responding to them.   Offered for the first time last January, this class received the Association for Continuing Legal Education's Award of Professional Excellence for the best overall "CLE Program/Course" of the year.
