Event Description
The Pro-Se-Plus Divorce Clinic training is used to recruit new volunteer clinic instructors. The Pro-Se-Plus Divorce Clinic is a two-part workshop to help pro se litigants better understand the divorce process in D.C. Volunteers serve as instructors on substantive and procedural divorce law during the Clinic.

Important Information:

No particular expertise is required to participate

All volunteers must attend this training before participating in the Clinic

Appropriate for attorneys, paralegals and law students

Malpractice insurance is provided by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program to attorneys who volunteer at the Pro-Se-Plus Divorce Clinic

Training participants must agree to staff two Clinic workshops.


Pro Bono Training Refund Policy: To cancel a registration and receive a refund for a pro bono training offered by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program, please call or send an e–mail request at least seven (7) days prior to the training session to Shannon Redd, staff attorney and training program manager, 202-737-4700, ext. 3293.

All cancellation and refund requests for pro bono trainings conducted by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program must be received seven (7) days before the training session date to receive a refund. Registration fees cannot be applied to future trainings.
