On Thursday, March 6, 2014, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program's Community Economic Development Project will be holding a free training on Small Business Legal Issues at the offices of Dickstein Shapiro at 1825 Eye Street, NW. The purpose of the training session is to expand the pool of lawyers prepared to provide pro bono assistance to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs through the Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinics. This training program, led by attorneys at Dickstein Shapiro, will focus on business formation, real estate issues, intellectual property considerations, and employment law as they relate to the unique circumstances of small neighborhood-based businesses.
The training will occur from 9 am to 1 pm. It is open to all attorneys and we specifically encourage those who wish to volunteer at the Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinics for the first time to attend.
