CLE Credit: No

Event Description
We all care about access to justice, but what exactly is it, and what can we do to increase it? The Courts, Lawyers and the Administation of Justice Section's Access to Justice Committee invites you to come hear a series of experienced, dedicated lawyers for real information and frank talk about the realities of our justice system, especially for the underserved, and what we can do about it.

Our inaugural event will feature former American Bar Association President Michael S. Greco, Chair of the ABA's Access to Justice Working Group and one of the nation's leading advocates for increased access to justice. His topic: “Gideon at 50: Emergence of the Right to Counsel in Civil Proceedings and its Effect on Gideon.”

Mr. Greco will be introduced by D.C. Bar President Andrea Ferster, who has made access to justice a signature issue for her time in office.

Lunch will be served at 12:00 pm; program at 12:30 pm.

This luncheon program is sponsored by the Access to Justice Committee of the Courts, Lawyers and the Administration of Justice Section. In cosponsorship with the Administrative Law and Agency Practice Section, the Labor and Employment Law Section, and the Law Practice Management Section.
