On October 29 the Women’s Bar Association Foundation (WBAF) will hold its 11th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction to benefit the WBAF’s Founders Fellowship.
The fellowship is awarded annually to an area law student to work with a local legal services provider during the summer on projects that benefit women and girls in the Washington metropolitan community.
This year’s wine tasting will feature the “Flavors of Fall,” including weighty whites, rich reds, and pairings that emphasize the wines’ fall notes—spice, smoke, and rich fruit.
The auction will include a variety of items in every price range, including jewelry, vacation getaways, sports and theatre tickets, and unique services.
Mobile bidding software provided by Bidding for Good will be used during the auction. Bidding for Good allows bidders to set maximum bids, receive alerts when they are outbid, and give straight cash donations. Bidders also can bid remotely if they are unable to attend the event.
Some auction items will be available for early bidding starting October 22. Online bidding on all items will continue until bidding closes at the live event.
The event takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hogan Lovells, 555 13th Street NW.
To register, go to www.wbadc.org. Early bird registration rate is available until September 20.For more information, contact the WBAF at 202–639–8880 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
