On October 24 the D.C. Bar Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Program will offer the course “Preventing and Litigating Will Contests in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.”
The class will teach attorneys how to help their clients avoid litigation over wills and other transfers of power in the planning and drafting stages, and will provide participants practice tips on how to bring or defend an action to contest a will.
Calvin H. Cobb III of Craighill, Mayfield, Fenwick, Cromelin & Cobb, L.L.P.; Robert Grant and Philip L. O’Donoghue of Furey Doolan & Abell LLP; Elizabeth “Betty Van” Morrogh, a principal at Blankingship & Keith, PC; and Kevin M. Murphy, an equity member of Carr Maloney P.C., will serve as faculty.
The course takes place from 6 to 9:15 p.m. and is cosponsored by the D.C. Bar Courts, Lawyers and the Administration of Justice Section and the Estates, Trusts and Probate Law Section.
