The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Application materials must be received by June 2.

The vacancy is the result of Associate Judge Mary A. Gooden Terrell’s retirement, which becomes effective May 30.

Qualified applicants must be citizens of the United States, active members of the D.C. Bar, bona fide residents of the District of Columbia, and, for the five-year period immediately preceding the nomination, engaged in the active practice of law in the District of Columbia, on the faculty of a law school in the District, or employed as an attorney by the federal or D.C. government.

Qualified parties can review the complete announcement at http://jnc.dc.gov. Queries can be directed to Peggy Williams Smith, executive director of the District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission, at 202-879-0478.
