Judicial Nomination Commission Announces Vacancy at D.C. Superior Court

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission is calling for candidates to fill a vacancy on the D.C. Superior Court resulting from the retirement of Associate Judge Cheryl M. Long.

Within 60 days of the vacancy, the commission will submit three nominees to the President of the United States for appointment to the court. Interested individuals must submit their application materials by November 5.

To be considered for the vacancy, candidates must meet specific criteria. All applicants must follow the instructions and complete the application materials on the commission’s Web site at http://jnc.dc.gov. All applications and correspondence should be addressed to the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan, Chairperson, Judicial Nomination Commission, 515 Fifth Street NW, Suite 235, Washington, DC 20001.
