The District of Columbia Court of Appeals has ordered that D.C. Bar Rule XI, regarding disciplinary proceedings, be amended effective August 1. The court’s action was in response to the report of the Bar’s Disciplinary System Study Committee.

The Board on Professional Responsibility will prescribe the manner in which the amended Rule XI will be applied to cases that straddle the effective date.

The amendments are published in two formats. One format is a compare version in which proposed additions to the rule are shown in bold type and deletions are struck through. The clean version shows the amended portions of the rule.
