The D.C. Bar Board of Governors unanimously approved the 2008–2009 budget proposed by the D.C. Bar Budget Committee at the board’s April 8 meeting.

The budget will require increases in annual dues from $188 to $195 for active members, from $118 to $121 for inactive members, and from $95 to $98 for judicial members.

The budget reflects a $454,819 deficit for dues-funded activities and the mandatory course for new admittees, and a $531,954 deficit for Bar activities supported by nondues revenue. Both amounts will be covered by Bar reserves.
