The New Tax Practitioners Committee focuses on programs of interest
to lawyers new to tax practice, including young lawyers and seasoned
practitioners who have decided to explore the other areas of tax law
practice. For example, the committee’s back to basics series
cover various areas of the tax laws and are geared towards those interested
in gaining knowledge or refreshing their understanding of certain
areas of tax law. The Committee does not have a definition of "new
tax practitioner," it is a self-selecting process. The Committee
