The Taxation Section focuses on federal, state, and local tax issues of interest to private, government, and institutional tax professionals. Through its 10 substantive tax committees, the Section regularly offers a wide variety of programs open to all section members, including special programs geared toward new tax practitioners. The program topics are designed to keep members up-to-date in this frequently changing area of the law and include presentations by leading practitioners and key government officials in the field. The Section also engages in tax policy projects, submitting comments to the government on proposed legislative and regulatory changes, and it has an active community outreach program.
