Labor and Employment Law Section’s Pro Bono Opportunities

Volunteer lawyers from the Labor and Employment Law Section are needed to staff the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program free legal advice and referral clinic.

It’s Easy!
Once a month for two hours, volunteer attorneys give basic legal advice to D.C. area citizens and refer them to the Bar’s Pro Bono Program clinics, area legal service providers or other resources for assistance.

It’s Direct!
Volunteers come from private practice, public interest organizations, and the government. No volunteer attorney is expected to take on any cases through the clinic. Client questions cover a variety of issues, and Section volunteers assist in answering basic questions about employment law with the help of the numerous resources available on-the-spot.

It’s Rewarding!

Sign Up Now!
The clinic is held on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bread for the City, 1525 Seventh Street NW.

Join us for an upcoming clinic.
