On October 28, 2009, members of the Intellectual Property Law steering committee, Cochair Stephen Belisle and Patent Law Committee Vice Chair Mark A. Williamson, presented trophies to the winners of the 2009 Banneker Science Fair on behalf of the IP Law Section.

The 2009 Science Fair included a record total of 227 student entries in 14 project categories. Trophies were awarded to winners in each project category, overall runner up and overall winner.

The Section also presented the school’s Principal Ms Anita M. Berger, and Science Department Chair Mr. Thomas Moore, with a check for $2,000 to offset expenses for the 2009 Science Fair, scheduled for February 26, 2010.  The IP Law Section has helped sponsor this event since 1996.
