Remember to Vote
The D.C. Bar General Election and Election for Steering Committees will take place next month. You can vote in the General Election via the paper ballot you will receive in the mail or online at www.dcbar.org. However, the section steering committee ballots will only arrive via postal mail. Please look out for those mailings in early to mid-May and remember to vote!

Volunteer Opportunity – Servathon - May 5
The Health Section is sponsoring a team to attend this year’s Servathon put on by Greater DC Cares and is looking for volunteers to help out with our assigned community service project. The event will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at a location TBD.

Servathon will host a “Come-As-You-Are” party with free food and beverages for all volunteers from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buffalo Billiards, 1330 19th Street, N.W. Washington, DC. (Dupont Circle area).

To volunteer log on to www.servathon.org and register by the Friday, April 27, 2007 deadline.

Get Involved in Programming
The Health Law Section is seeking volunteers to help with the Programs and Education Committee. The Programs and Education Committee is responsible for organizing educational programs sponsored by the Health Law Section. Membership on this committee offers an excellent opportunity to learn about new areas of health law and to network with government health care officials and leading private practitioners.

Community Outreach -- Call for Volunteers
The D.C. Bar Health Law Section is looking for interested volunteers to join a newly formed Community Outreach Committee. The committee will guide the existing community outreach projects of the Health Law Section (descriptions set forth below) as well as develop new projects and opportunities for the section. It is anticipated that the Committee will hold monthly conference calls and other ad hoc meetings as appropriate. Please contact Paul Kim (410-347-7344) or Patrick Hope (202-261-4541) if you are interested in playing an instrumental role in the community outreach activities of the Health Law Section.
