- The Court Rules and
Legislation Committee proposes and comments on legislation and rules
affecting the practice of family law in the District of Columbia.
The Family Law Section provided testimony in Congress regarding the
District of Columbia Family Court Act, and has provided testimony
before the D.C. Council on the Improved Child Abuse Investigations
Amendment Act of 2001. The Court Rules and Legislation Committee advocates
for necessary amendments to the D.C. Code, and issues public statements
regarding the orders, standards, and practices of the D.C. Superior
Court.
