In exchange for consideration by the D.C. Bar of the materials submitted hereby (the "Submission") for possible inclusion in the D.C. Bar Virtual Library Pilot Program and for no monetary compensation, I hereby grant to the D.C. Bar the perpetual nonexclusive worldwide rights (1) to publish, reproduce, distribute, perform, and display the Submission, or any part thereof, in any medium or form of communication now existing or hereafter developed, including archival databases, (2) to modify or adapt the Submission as necessary or appropriate in its exercise of the foregoing rights, and (3) to authorize others to exercise all these same rights on its behalf. In addition, I grant to the D.C. Bar and its agents the perpetual nonexclusive worldwide right to use the Submission to promote and publicize the D.C. Bar, including the right to use my name, likeness, and biographical data in such promotions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the D.C. Bar advises me in writing that the Submission will not be published in any form by the D.C. Bar, the rights granted hereby shall automatically be rescinded. I warrant that (1) the Submission is my original work-product and is not subject to any existing copyright rights of others (including my employer, any joint owners, or previous publishers) that are inconsistent with the grant of rights I have made above (2) I have full power and authority to enter this Virtual Library Submission Form and to grant the rights granted above and (3) the publication of the Submission will not libel anyone or infringe on or invade the rights of others and will not cause harm to anyone. Should the Submission contain any material owned by others, the inclusion of which requires permission with respect to the rights granted above, I have so advised the D.C. Bar and have provided a copy of all necessary permissions in written form to the D.C. Bar.
