Robert Palmer has received the Public Justice Foundation’s Access to Justice Award… Eugene R. Fidell, founding president of the National Institute of Military Justice, will join Yale Law School as Florence Rogatz Senior Visiting Lecturer in Law... Michael B. Devine, assistant business law professor at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, was admitted as a Fellow in International Commercial Arbitration at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London... Gerard M. Stegmaier of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati P.C. has been elected secretary of the Fairfax Law Foundation… Edward F. Novak of Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander, P.A. in Phoenix was elected president of the State Bar of Arizona... DLA Piper’s Bret Lowell, Erik Wulff, and Philip F. Zeidman were listed in Chambers Global 2008 directory of the world’s leading lawyers. The guide also recognized 42 partners from Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP… James E. Rocap III of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and Darrell G. Mottley of Banner & Witcoff Ltd. were elected chair and vice chair, respectively, of the D.C. Robbins has written an article titled “Digitus Impudicus: The Middle Finger and the Law,” which appeared in the UC Davis Law Review (volume 41, 2008)… Paul Rothstein, professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center, has written two books published by Thomson West: Federal Testimonial Privileges: Evidentiary Privileges Relating to Witnesses and Documents in Federal Law Cases (second edition, 2007–08) and Federal Rules of Evidence (third edition, 2008), containing practice commentary and cases… Rumu Sarkar, a member of the Millennium-IP3 board of directors and adjunct faculty at Georgetown University Law Center, has been awarded the grand prize by the Saint-Cyr Foundation for her essay “A Fearful Symmetry: A New Global Balance of Power?”… Peter A.
