This loose-leaf publication contains the Code of Professional Responsibility, which was in effect in the District of Columbia until January 1, 1991, as well as all opinions issued by the D.C. Bar’s Legal Ethics Committee interpreting the code, and several useful indices. The majority of the provisions mirror those of the former ABA Model Code; however, the D.C. Court of Appeals made substantial changes to disciplinary rules that accompany canons 6 and 9. Many of the opinions in this volume are still applicable under the current ethics rules, the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct.
