Intake hours:
The EJC conducts intakes on a walk-in basis every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bread for the City NW and every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bread for the City SE; The clinics are generally closed during August and during holiday weeks.

Training offered:
The EJC provides training for all volunteers. Prior to volunteering at our Workers' Rights Clinic, all new volunteers must attend a one hour training program. For attorneys seeking to take on pro bono cases, the EJC has materials available and provides mentoring along the way.
Types of services:
Workers' Rights Clinics offer advice and referral services to low-income workers in all employment-related cases (DC, MD, and VA employers), The clinic is designed to be a self-help advice and referral clinic. Representation is available in only a small number of cases.
Volunteer needs:
The EJC most commonly needs volunteers in any of the following three categories: (1) volunteers to conduct intake at our Workers' Rights Clinics - no expertise in employment law is required; (2) lawyers with employment law expertise to staff our Workers' Rights Clinics; and (3) lawyers interested in providing pro bono representation on a variety of legal claims.
