Members of the District of Columbia Bar may obtain from the District of Columbia Court of Appeals a Certificate of Good Standing.
The certificate reflects the attorney's name (as registered with the D.C. Bar), date of admission, membership status, the date of its preparation, and is signed by the Deputy Clerk. The seal of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals is impressed on the certificate. There is a $5 fee (cash or check payable to "Clerk, D.C. Court of Appeals").
To acquire the certificate, visit room 4200 of the D.C. Court of Appeals between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and the certificate will be prepared while you wait. Alternatively, you may complete an online form and mail your request to the Committee on Admissions.
