Completion of the Mandatory Course on the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct and D.C. Practice is required for:
All new members within 12 months of admission to the D.C. Bar. This is a post-admission requirement and cannot be taken before member is sworn in to the D.C. Bar;
Any member of the Bar who has been on inactive status for five years or more and wishes to change to active status;
Any member of the D.C. Bar who has assumed inactive (retired) status for five years or more and seeks to be reinstated to active membership;
Any individual who has voluntarily resigned his/her membership in the D.C. Bar for five years or more and who desires to be reinstated to membership;
Any individual who has been suspended for five years or more for failure to pay dues or failure to file a resignation statement and who seeks to be reinstated to membership in the D.C. Bar.
Notes: No Admittance after 9am. Allow time for security checks at the ITC. Photo identification is required for check-in. This is a post-admission requirement.
