Description: This new class will explain the law and procedures for investigating criminal cases in the District of Columbia, with an emphasis on DUI cases.  You will learn about these issues and more:

Digital evidence: how it should be collected, copied, and preserved

How to challenge digital evidence

Different types of video recording equipment and how video evidence can be captured

How to access information on video surveillance cameras: banks, private businesses, and government agencies

Preservation and collection of video and photo evidence

Strategies for investigation

Translating the  investigation to the courtroom:  evidence rules and effective presentations to the judge and to a jury
