Description: This course is ideal for attorneys who want to keep up with the many significant developments in employment law over the past year. Leading employment practitioners will provide a quick update on the practical impact of the most important new developments in employment law from both the employer and employee perspective, including:

1) The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's new regulations implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008

2) The Veterans' Benefits Act of 2010 amendments to the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act

3) The latest U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals refinements to the proximate cause standard applied to employment cases

4) New developments in whistleblower protection laws, including the implications of the U.S. Department of Labor Administrative Review Board's decision in Sylvester v. Parexel International LLC on the breadth of protected activity under section 806 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
