Description: Faculty will discuss the definition of a federal grant and the difference between types of grants; the ground rules of federal grants and where to find the rules (statutes, regulations, agency guidance); the key federal actors (grants officer, program specialist, etc.); and the legal issues in grant administration (before, during, and after the award).Plus, the course will feature a discussion of government audits, grant disputes, fraud and abuse issues, and administrative and judicial litigation.The course serves as a great introduction to federal grants or as a solid review for those who need a refresher course.
